What this version of MacStackHub uses, and what happens when you read or subscribe.

Reading the site

MacStackHub is a static publication. It does not provide reader accounts, passwords, or profiles. Basic navigation and articles work without application JavaScript. Newsletter submissions use the storage described below.

Newsletter signup

When signup is enabled, submitting the form sends your email address, consent timestamp, and signup placement to our backend on Cloudflare. We store this signup and delivery history in a Cloudflare D1 database for 90 days from your original submission so we can retry delivery if Kit is unavailable. Repeated submissions do not extend that period. Scheduled cleanup removes expired records; provider backups follow Cloudflare’s separate retention schedule.

We forward signup information to Kit for newsletter enrollment, confirmation, delivery, and unsubscribe handling. “Signup saved” means our backend stored the request; it does not mean Kit accepted it, an email was delivered, or your subscription was confirmed. Kit controls subscriber state. Existing unsubscribes and delivery suppressions are preserved. Unsubscribe through the link in each newsletter. The signup form does not load Kit’s browser script or send a Kit form-visit request. We do not store your email in browser storage or send it to site analytics. Rate limiting processes technical request information, including your IP address, without storing it alongside your signup in our database. Local archive expiry does not remove your subscription from Kit.

Analytics

Plausible analytics is not enabled in this build. If it is enabled later, this page describes the configured change before launch.

On the live site, Cloudflare also adds a browser beacon to measure page visits and loading performance. This hosting measurement runs separately from Kit and optional Plausible analytics. SeeCloudflare’s measurement documentation.

Hosting and external websites

Hosting infrastructure processes requests to deliver pages and may maintain operational or security logs. Cloudflare Workers Static Assets hosts the site. Following an external product or community link takes you to that service, which has its own policies.

Contact

No public editorial contact address is currently available. The contact page will list a contact method if one is added. There is no contact form collecting messages.

Changes

Integration changes require a review of this page. No claim here establishes domain ownership, a live email service, or a working data request channel before those setup steps are completed.
